Darrecia Cooper is the owner and Clinical Director at Therapeutic Journeys. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), as well as a National Board Certified Counselor (NCC). She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Human Services from Baker College in 2008. She obtained her Master of Arts in Counseling from Oakland University in 2012. She has experience working at Harbor Oaks Psychiatric Hospital as a Substance Abuse Therapist. In addition, she has many years of experience as a private practice clinician working with adults and children with various psychiatric illnesses.

Mrs. Cooper has several years of experience working with substance abuse groups and clients dealing with dependency issues. She offers individual therapy for depression, anxiety, ADHD, ADD, and life issues. Darrecia has experience working with children as young as 6 and adults of all ages. Darrecia is skilled in marriage and family therapy; being able to reunite and strengthen families is her passion, she is also proficient in couples’ therapy, children, behavioral issues, career counseling, grief, trauma, postpartum and suicide prevention.

Her main goal as a Therapist, is to create a strong support system for her clients and help them make healthy decisions about themselves, their relationships and their future.

LaNeece Adams, LLMSW, is a Clinical Therapist at Therapeutic Journeys. She is dedicated to providing compassionate, client-centered care to children, adolescents, adults, and families. Her goal is to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel empowered to explore their challenges, build resilience, and achieve meaningful personal growth.

LaNeece earned her Bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies from Michigan State University and her Master of Social Work from Walden University. Throughout her career, she has worked with children, adults, and families in a variety of settings, helping them strengthen relationships, develop healthy coping skills, and navigate life’s challenges. She has experience working with children as young as 6 years old through adults of all ages.

LaNeece offers individual therapy for individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, ADHD, life transitions, and other life challenges. LaNeece is committed to creating a therapeutic environment where clients feel safe, respected, and empowered throughout their healing journey.
